Tanya has asked us to provide her with pictures of Kael wearing all of the outfits that Macy has given him so I figured I would share them with everyone since he is so darn cute!

Halloween

We had a great time at the Ward Fall Festival on Friday night and then trick-or-treating on Saturday night. Kael was my little tiger and Brylee was a cute leopard. We didn't even go through all of our neighborhood and we got more candy than we could eat in a year! Brylee is already planning her costume for next year.

Our Trip to Corpus Christi

We went to Corpus Christi a couple of weeks ago and we were going to play on the beach for a little while. When we got there the check station guard told us that we should probably not go into the water because of the red tide. We had no idea what that was, but when we got down to the beach there were dead fish all along the shoreline. Man did it smell bad! Anyway we had a good time playing in the sand a good distance from the shoreline.

Uncle Jake and Aunt Vanessa came to visit us! We had a great dinner and a good visit. We can't wait until they get to come back.

Kael LOVES his rocking horse

We brought home a rocking horse from Quincy's parents house and Kael has really enjoyed it today. It is just the right size for him to get on and off all by himself, which is a big deal for him these days! We are sure glad we have our children to keep joy in our lives!

We were able to see Macy this past Friday. We met her at Cabela's outside of Dallas and we were able to spend about twenty minutes walking around and looking at all of the different animals they had exhibited. Hopefully we will get to see her again the next time we are up in Dallas.

Yeah! Daddy is home. We sure missed him. Quincy did a 9 day rotation at a hospital in Arlington just outside of Dallas. He was sure tired when he got home after working 12 hour days the whole time. He was in the acute care ward and he had 2 patients that died while he was there. Thank goodness he has a strong testimony in the gospel because that was not easy for him.

Getting started

So this is the first post on the Shirley Family Bog. Trying to catch up with all of the rest of the world. We went biking for Labor Day at McCallister Park. We had a great time! The kids enjoyed the playground. We biked a total of 12.5 miles over a 2 hour period. Everyone was pretty tired. Kael fell asleep on the way home of course.
